About Us
Northern Sky Media is a Twin Cities wedding videography company. What sets us a part from other wedding videographers is the extra mile we go to tell your story. Renting a party bus? We bring Gopros for you and your friends to film each other. Is your wedding at a beautiful outdoor location? We bring the latest drones to capture the setting (weather and airspace permitting). Our editor uses the premier music subscription website to find compelling music for your final video. All of our lead shooters have three or more years of experience, and most have shot over 100 weddings. Our documentarian style combined with our cinematic eye makes us the perfect fit to capture your special day.
Recommendations
Figuring out the appropriate amount of wedding videography coverage can be challenging, however we always recommend having your videographer start at the tail end of people getting ready to capture final make-up touches, dress getting zipped up, and suits and ties being put on. We recommend the end of the coverage being 30 minutes past the first dances. That way we have just the right amount of time to capture the open dance floor.
We highly recommend getting a videography package with two videographers. It’s impossible for one person to be at two places at once. We carry a lot of equipment, so when there’s multiple locations to travel to (hotel, church, photo op site, venue) it takes time to tear equipment down and set it back up. With two videographers one person can always be ready to capture anything that comes up.
Our last recommendation is to keep the amount of locations to a minimum. Not just for your vendors sake, but also for your bridal party. Shuffling people and items around is time consuming and gets to be overwhelming. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve needed corsages, flowers, or family members for wedding photos, but they were lost or traveling to the location. Having everything in one place saves you the headache.
